This thing is suppose to be Bigfoot?! It looks like some Asian knock off Teletubbies - Hello Kitty hybrid!
When it first came out, many people in film school did not respond so well to it.
So now, I demand VANOC to remove Quatchi, and put Chewbacca, the wookie as our Olympic Mascot.
I mean, at least people recognize and respect Chewie. If I presented Quatchi to someone from Eastern Europe, they wouldn't have a frakin clue what it is.
Message begins:
" Dear VANOC, I have been enthusiastic about the 2010 games since grade 12. However, after the creation of Quatchi, I was really turned off. Please replace Quatchi with Chewbacca the wookie before the end of 2009, or else I will leave Vancouver in February 2010 and not attend the Winter Olympic games......"
